Even if you have a strong and alive yoga practice and have been taking classes for many years, a private session can be the perfect motivation needed to take your practice to the next level and to make sure you aren't furthering certain habits. Also, those who are new to yoga are especially advised to schedule a private yoga session to ensure the fundamentals of proper alignment are learned from the very beginning.

For my Holistic Health Consulting appointments, I draw from my extensive knowledge of nutrition, herbal medicine, and healthy lifestyle practices. We can address your health challenges, clarify your goals, and map out a balanced route to meeting these goals. Having studied various holistic healing modalities for most of my life, I draw from a wide variety of traditions: Ayurvedic, integrative medicine, Traditional Chinese Medicine, science backed nutrition and supplements, and Western herbalism. I am currently in my 5th year in a doctoral program in Traditional Chinese Medicine which includes acupuncture and herbal therapies. Before I am licensed, I can offer tongue and pulse diagnosis and can view your health challenges from the Chinese Medicine lens. Stay tuned for when I can offer acupuncture as well in 2026!

Ashley has been practicing massage since 2002 after leaving a professional dance career in New York. She trained at the Alive & Well Institute of Conscious Bodywork as well as the Acupressure Institute in Berkeley. Her sessions are informed by the many different bodywork modalities that she has studied over the years: Esalen-style massage with long flowing strokes, reflexology, prenatal massage, meridian activation, acupressure, cranial sacral therapy, hot stone massage, and deep tissue. She also weaves in her years of yoga practice and teaching to offer the deepest level of healing for the nervous system and unwinding of both structural and emotional patterns. Ashely’s journey into parenthood in 2012 has also transformed her understanding of healing especially during the prenatal & postpartum period.

Elizabeth Shelhart is a CMT ( Certified Massage Therapist ), a certified Birth Doula, 500RYT ( Nationally Registered Yoga Teacher ), and currently a graduate student at AIMC ( Acupuncture and Integrative Medical College ). Elizabeth has always been deeply connected to the body and breath. She began studying dance when she was four years old and became a statewide competitive gymnast by the time she was nine. When she stopped training in gymnastics, Elizabeth came back to dance and eventually discovered yoga at the age of eighteen. Yoga was a perfect synthesis of her years of dance and gymnastics, and around this time she began studying Buddhism and Eastern religions as well. When she was twenty, Elizabeth lived in India for six months and fully immersed herself in the land of yoga’s origins. This experience profoundly changed her life, and her yoga and meditation practice deepened. Upon return to the U.S., Elizabeth completed a yearlong Dharma Yoga teacher training. This approach emphasizes yoga postures as well as meditation and other Buddhist practices and philosophies. She also completed a Yoga for Injuries training, Prenatal Yoga training, and received her massage therapy license. Over the last few years, Elizabeth has studied more in-depth aspects of yoga and meditation with many renowned teachers such as Sarah Powers, Thich Nhat Hanh, Janice Gates, Tara Brach, and Paul Grilley. In the Spring of 2016 Elizabeth graduated from a two year Mindfulness Meditation and Yoga training at Spirit Rock which allows her to teach meditation as well as yoga. She also recently became a Yoga Alliance continuing education provider.

After many years in private practice as a yoga teacher and massage therapist, Elizabeth felt the deep calling to work with pregnant women and birth. Her work here began after she was asked to assist several close friends at their births. She felt honored to support these women and understood that more training would allow an even greater ability to help. In 2009, she attended Cornerstone Doula School and delved wholeheartedly into the medical as well as the spiritual aspects of childbirth.

As a yoga and meditation teacher, doula, bodyworker, and soon-to-be acupuncturist, Elizabeth is passionate about creating optimal health and finds it rewarding to share this with her clients and students. She models what she teaches and loves to offer what she has learned through years of personal and spiritual work. Whole foods nutrition, herbal medicine, astrology, conscious dance, and stress reduction coaching are other modalities that she is well versed in. Elizabeth truly offers a holistic approach in her work. She loves guiding others to find their own understanding of presence, truth, joy, connection to their heart, and ease in their body~ allowing one’s true nature to shine.
